Brittany Cartwright Says She Learned of Jax Taylor's New Romance in Text From Former Publicist

Brittany Cartwright says she discovered her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, was dating her former publicist, Lori Krebs, just hours before photos of the pair surfaced online.

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on August 5, Cartwright revealed that Krebs sent her a text message two hours before TMZ published photos of Krebs and Taylor vacationing together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

According to Cartwright, Krebs acknowledged that "things had changed" and said she understood Cartwright would feel betrayed. Cartwright, however, rejected the explanation, insisting Krebs was still representing her professionally, receiving a retainer and commissions, and remained someone she considered "family."

"I don't care if Jax dates someone," Cartwright said. "It's what she did. She was the person I went to whenever I was being abused in that relationship."

Taylor's attorney has denied Cartwright's abuse allegations.

The revelation comes after Us Weekly published photos of Taylor and Krebs together at a Mexican resort, with eyewitnesses describing the pair as affectionate during the trip. Taylor later appeared to confirm the relationship by responding to a fan on Instagram, writing, "No thanks, I am taken," after being suggested as a future Bachelor.

A source close to Krebs disputed Cartwright's account, telling Us Weekly that Cartwright and Krebs had grown apart long before the relationship began. The source said the two rarely interacted outside of work over the past year and that Krebs had been trying to step away from representing Cartwright because she felt caught between the estranged couple.

Krebs' attorney also denied claims of unethical dual representation, stating she had not represented Taylor for more than a year.

Cartwright pushed back on that version of events, saying Krebs was still her publicist as recently as April and had even been invited to her Fourth of July gathering. She accused Krebs of trying to rewrite the timeline to improve public perception.

Taylor also responded to Cartwright's television appearance, accusing her in Instagram comments of telling "blatant lies."

The former Vanderpump Rules stars separated in February 2024 and filed for divorce later that year. Their divorce has not yet been finalized. Cartwright also claimed Taylor has continued to communicate with her mainly through a parenting app, where she says he frequently sends argumentative messages.

The controversy has drawn support for Cartwright from former Vanderpump Rules castmates, including Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, with Schroeder calling the situation a "complete betrayal" and saying she was not surprised by the pairing.
