Charli XCX Was Thrilled to See Nicole Kidman at Her Brat Tour Show

Charli XCX has revealed how excited she was when Nicole Kidman attended one of her Brat tour concerts in New York.

In a British Vogue cover story published Aug. 13, Charli said she was shocked to see Kidman at her May 4 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

“She’s one of our last truly legendary movie stars,” Charli said. “I couldn’t believe she came. Like, the Nicole Kidman is at my show… what the f---?”

Charli has been a longtime fan of Kidman’s work. In February, she wore a T-shirt featuring photos of the actress and the word “NICOLE.” Kidman later joked on social media that she needed to get her own Brat shirt.

The singer has also cited Kidman’s 1995 film To Die For as an inspiration for Brat. In 2024, Charli included the movie in a film series she curated at New York’s Roxy Cinema, saying its themes of attention and ambition connected directly to the album’s energy.

Charli’s latest album, Music, Fashion, Film, was released in July. Meanwhile, Kidman is set to return as Gillian Owens in Practical Magic 2, which is scheduled to hit theaters Sept. 11.
