Christy Knowings, ‘All That’ Actress, Dies at 46 After Asthma Attack

Actress Christy Knowings, known for starring on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” has died at age 46 after an asthma attack caused brain damage, according to her family.

Knowings was hospitalized for four days before her family decided to remove her from life support on Aug. 11, a family member told TMZ. Her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, also confirmed her death on Facebook.

“Rest in power, Chrissy,” Joseph wrote, describing Knowings as an outstanding actress, comedian, twin sister and daughter.

Knowings, who was from the Bronx, joined “All That” in 1997 and appeared on the show for three seasons. She was best known for the sketch “Whateverrr!” with Amanda Bynes, in which they played two boy-crazy girls.

She later appeared on “Sesame Street” alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings. She was also a singer and released the folk song “To the World” in 2020.

Her manager, Al Hill, told Variety that Knowings was “a multi-talented lady” who was always creative, professional and dedicated to her work.
