Dakota Johnson and Role Model Reportedly Split After Less Than a Year Together

Dakota Johnson and singer Role Model have reportedly ended their relationship after less than a year together.

A source told People on Wednesday that the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress, 36, and Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, 29, split “a while ago.” Neither Johnson nor Role Model has publicly commented on the reported breakup.

The pair were first romantically linked in December 2025, several months after Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin ended their relationship.

Their romance quickly attracted attention. Johnson and Role Model were spotted having dinner with friends, where they reportedly appeared close and affectionate. The two were seen together again in Los Angeles in January, wearing matching black outfits as they arrived at French restaurant and wine bar Marvin in Beverly Hills.

Later that month, they appeared to make their relationship more public. Johnson and Role Model were photographed holding hands and smiling at each other as they left a restaurant after dining with a friend.

The couple were last seen together in April in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. Photos showed Johnson embracing Role Model from behind as they stood together in a parking lot. He was also seen nuzzling her ear.

Despite the reported split, Johnson recently remained part of Role Model’s music. Earlier this month, the singer released his third studio album, “Chuck Timely & the Hourglass,” which includes a spoken-word appearance by Johnson on the fourth track, “Love I You.”

Before the album came out, Role Model spoke about Johnson’s contribution in interviews with Nylon Guys and Rolling Stone. He said her “voice was perfect on it” and that having her on the song made it “really special” to him.

The reported breakup comes after a brief but highly publicized romance between the two. While they kept much of their relationship private, their repeated appearances together and affectionate public moments fueled interest in their connection.

For now, neither star has confirmed when the relationship ended or what led to the reported split.
