Dermot Mulroney to Exit ‘Chicago Fire’ in Season 15

Dermot Mulroney will leave NBC’s Chicago Fire during Season 15, according to Variety.

Mulroney joined the series in Season 13 as Chief Dom Pascal. His character will exit early in the new season, which premieres on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET.

The Season 14 finale ended with a major cliffhanger. Pascal and Kelly Severide were interrupted by an emergency call that sent Firehouse 51 to a warehouse fire. As firefighters entered the building, the roof began to collapse, leaving the fate of several characters unknown.

Mulroney’s departure comes shortly after news that original cast member Joe Miñoso, who has played firefighter Joe Cruz for 14 seasons, will also leave the show during Season 15.

Season 15 will also introduce Victor Teran as the new showrunner, replacing Andrea Newman. Actor Da’Vinchi will join the cast as a new firefighter at Firehouse 51.

Chicago Fire returns on Oct. 7 as part of NBC’s “One Chicago” lineup, alongside Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.
