Drew Starkey and Stunt Driver Mistakenly Pulled Over While Filming Lucky

Drew Starkey revealed that he and stunt driver Hayley Wright were unexpectedly pulled over by police while filming a driving scene for Apple TV+'s Lucky.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Starkey said the pair drove a car onto a beach as part of a scene. At first, he thought the police lights behind them were part of the production, but Wright quickly realized they were actually being stopped.

The officer told them that cars were not allowed on the beach. Wright explained they were filming a movie, but the officer questioned the claim because the cameras were far away using a long lens and were not visible. Production assistants soon arrived and clarified the situation.

Anya Taylor-Joy, who stars as con artist Luciana "Lucky" Armstrong in the series, joked that telling a police officer "it's a movie" without visible cameras was a difficult situation. She also said she approaches television and film roles the same way, adding that limited series give actors more time to develop their characters.
