Howard Stern’s Howard 101 Dropped From SiriusXM Lineup

Howard Stern’s Howard 101 channel has been removed from the SiriusXM lineup, weeks after the radio star laid off about a dozen staff members and announced plans to scale back his schedule.

SiriusXM confirmed the change in a recent channel lineup announcement. Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy will move from channel 102 to channel 101, while Howard 101 will leave the lineup. Howard 100, Stern’s main channel, will remain on channel 100.

The move comes more than a month after reports that roughly 12 SiriusXM employees working with Stern were laid off during a Zoom call. According to reports, the employees were told to leave immediately and were offered severance based on their time with the company.

The layoffs followed Stern’s decision to begin doing just one radio show per week after Labor Day. Stern signed a new three-year SiriusXM deal in December 2025 and said the agreement would give him more freedom while allowing him to continue broadcasting.

“I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all,” Stern said at the time. “More free time and continuing to be on the radio.”

His previous five-year SiriusXM contract was reportedly worth $500 million.

Stern’s wife, Beth Stern, later spoke positively about his new schedule during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, saying she believed it was “working out really well for him.”

The changes come during a period of increased attention on Stern and his workplace. Earlier this year, a former assistant sued Stern, alleging a hostile work environment. A New York State Supreme Court judge dismissed the lawsuit in its entirety in July.

Stern has also faced criticism over reports about workplace rules at SiriusXM. The Sun reported that female employees working with Stern were allegedly discouraged from wearing sneakers in the office, with some reportedly keeping other shoes under their desks.

Another report alleged that employees were warned not to approach or speak to Stern at company events and claimed that some workers had been fired for doing so. One insider described the workplace as “cultish.”

Stern, 72, has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent months. He made a rare public appearance with Beth, 54, in the Hamptons earlier this month, attending John Mayer’s SiriusXM performance at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York. Andy Cohen and Brooke Shields were also among the celebrities at the event.

For now, Howard 100 remains on SiriusXM, but the removal of Howard 101 marks another significant change for Stern’s presence on the satellite radio platform.
