Howie Mandel Clashes With Influencer Camilla Araujo During Heated Podcast Exchange

Howie Mandel found himself in a tense exchange with influencer Camilla Araujo during a recent episode of his podcast, “Howie Mandel Does Stuff,” which he co-hosts with his daughter, Jackelyn Shultz.

The conversation took an unexpected turn after Araujo challenged Mandel to a “mog off,” an internet slang term referring to competing over appearance or charisma. She encouraged Mandel to “smolder” and show some “super c---” energy for the camera. Mandel appeared to misunderstand the phrase, prompting Araujo to joke about his reaction.

The mood changed when Mandel asked Araujo about her boyfriend, Owen Lynch, and whether he had become jealous after she appeared on Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” podcast.

Araujo explained that she had previously recorded a podcast with influencer Ari Kytsya and musician Yung Gravy at the same studio Jowsey uses. She said Lynch became aware that she had been at the studio.

Before she could finish, Mandel turned to his daughter and said they were “not supposed to bring it up,” apparently referring to Kytsya. He then addressed Araujo’s team, who were sitting nearby.

“Why don’t you bring up somebody from Bop House?” Mandel said, raising his voice. He also claimed that the first instruction from Araujo’s publicist was not to discuss Bop House.

Araujo quickly pushed back.

“Sweetie, before you embarrass yourself any further, no one I just said was in Bop House, my love,” she replied.

Shultz agreed with Araujo and pointed out that Kytsya and Gravy were not members of Bop House, the influencer group that Araujo left in 2025.

“See, look at you!” Araujo responded.

The conversation later shifted to Shultz’s past experience living with her father. When she said it “wasn’t fun,” Mandel bluntly replied, “You were a bitch,” adding another awkward moment to the already heated discussion.

Araujo then appeared stunned and asked Mandel, “You’re sure you’re actively married?” Mandel responded that he had been married to his wife for 48 years.

The incident is not the first time Mandel has attracted attention for a tense exchange on television. Earlier this year, he appeared to take issue with comments made by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on “Live With Kelly and Mark” while discussing his 70th birthday.

Ripa complimented Mandel’s appearance, but he objected to the suggestion that he looked good “for 70.”

“I don’t like that, because that’s a caveat,” Mandel said.

Ripa tried to clarify that they simply thought he looked great, regardless of his age. Mandel remained unconvinced, later comparing the compliment to saying someone is “smart for a stupid person.”

Mandel subsequently apologized for that exchange.

The latest podcast confrontation adds another memorable moment to Mandel’s reputation for speaking his mind, even when a conversation takes an unexpected turn.
