Aster wrote and will direct the movie, while Lars Knudsen will produce through their Square Peg banner. The plot is being kept secret, although early reports have described the project as a thriller, sci-fi romance or drama.
Elordi has had a busy year. He earned an Oscar nomination and two Golden Globe nominations for his work in Frankenstein and The Narrow Road to the Deep North. He also starred opposite Margot Robbie in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, which has earned more than $240 million worldwide on an $80 million budget.
The Australian actor recently completed his run on HBO’s Euphoria with its third and final season. He will next appear in Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller The Dog Stars, which is scheduled for release on Aug. 28.
