Jen Shah Set to Complete Federal Sentence

Former “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah is expected to complete her federal sentence on Friday, Aug. 28, after serving time in prison and home confinement for her role in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme.

The Bureau of Prisons currently lists Shah’s release date as Aug. 30, but because that date falls on a Sunday, she can be released on the preceding weekday under federal policy.

Shah, 52, spent nearly eight months in home confinement after being transferred from a federal prison in Texas in December 2025. She had previously served 33 months of a six-and-a-half-year sentence.

Shah pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Prosecutors said the scheme targeted thousands of people, including elderly and vulnerable victims. She was sentenced in January 2023 and ordered to forfeit $6.5 million and pay up to $6.5 million in restitution.

In an April interview with People, Shah acknowledged her wrongdoing and expressed remorse.

“I was wrong. I made wrong decisions. I should have done things differently,” she said, adding that she takes “full responsibility” for her actions.

Shah has said her priorities after completing her sentence are her family, rebuilding her life and making restitution to her victims. She is married to college football coach Sharrieff Shah, and they have two sons.
