Jenna Ortega’s younger sister, Aliyah Ortega, has appeared to support calls for fans to stop speculating about the actress’ health.

Aliyah, 22, commented with three exclamation points on an Instagram post urging people to “mind [their] business and leave @jennaortega alone.” The post came after an Esquire interview in which Jenna discussed her experiences as a child actor, including sometimes going an entire day without eating or drinking on set because she did not want to “be in the way.”

The Instagram post said people should not make assumptions about Jenna’s health based on her appearance or comments from an interview. It urged fans to respect her privacy and avoid intrusive questions.

Jenna, 23, has not publicly addressed the recent online discussion. The reaction comes as social media users have also expressed concern about other celebrities’ appearances, including Ariana Grande.

In the Esquire interview, Jenna also spoke about her early acting ambitions and nearly leaving the profession while transitioning from child roles. She said booking the series “You” ultimately renewed her enthusiasm for acting and convinced her to continue.
