Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns Get Married in Malibu

Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns are officially married.

The reality star and designer, 28, and the New York Knicks player, 30, tied the knot Saturday, Aug. 15, in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean in Malibu, California, according to photos shared by Page Six.

The couple celebrated their wedding surrounded by family and friends. The guest list reportedly included several of Towns’ NBA teammates, as well as Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, Hailey and Justin Bieber, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor.

Woods wore a strapless white wedding gown with a full skirt and a long tulle veil finished with lace. Towns wore a black tuxedo with a double-breasted jacket and bow tie.

The wedding comes less than a year after the couple announced their engagement. On Christmas Day last year, Woods and Towns shared photos on Instagram showing Towns proposing at Overstory, a rooftop bar in New York City.

“Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” they wrote in the caption, giving fans a look at Woods’ emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.

The couple’s relationship began as a friendship. Woods and Towns had known each other for years before they started dating in 2020. Both have said that their close friendship helped create a strong foundation for their romance.

“I think it’s kind of cool dating your best friend,” Woods said during her Instagram series Regular-ish in September 2021. “We know each other. We know each other’s hearts. We know each other on good days and bad days, and we’ve been through a lot of bad days together.”

Towns explained that the COVID-19 pandemic helped change the direction of their relationship.

“It just so happened, the COVID came and kind of brought its challenges, and it kind of forced us to either pick where our relationship was going to go as friends or something more. And we chose the latter,” he said.

In a 2023 interview with PEOPLE, Woods said friendship and trust were key to their relationship.

“We were really good friends before we started dating, and COVID gave us that free time in our life to really get to know each other,” she said.

The couple has now taken the next step in their relationship, celebrating their wedding with loved ones in Malibu and beginning a new chapter as husband and wife.
