During Grande’s concert at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday, the pop star surprised the audience by bringing Erivo onstage. The pair performed “For Good,” the emotional finale from Wicked, before joining forces for a mashup of “Get Happy” and “Happy Days Are Here Again,” songs famously performed together by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.
Grande wore a simple white dress, while Erivo appeared in a crisp tuxedo-style dress. Videos shared online showed the two singers looking at each other as they performed, creating an emotional moment that quickly caught fans’ attention.
The reunion was the first time Grande and Erivo had performed together live since last year. They previously sang the same songs during the 2025 television special Wicked: One Wonderful Night. That performance also featured original Broadway Wicked stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.
Grande is currently finishing her tour in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, and its expanded edition, Brighter Days Ahead. She has also added songs from her latest album, Petal, to some of her performances.
Her London shows come as Grande prepares to step back from the spotlight. Earlier this month, she said she planned to take a break from public-facing work after completing the tour. Her decision comes amid increased public attention and commentary about her health and appearance.
Grande had also been scheduled to appear in a West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George alongside Jonathan Bailey, her Wicked co-star. However, she has withdrawn from the production and will be replaced.
For Erivo, the surprise performance was another chance to share the stage with her longtime Wicked co-star. In a May interview with Variety, she said she wanted to move on from constantly discussing the musical after spending years talking about it.
“I love Wicked, but I’ve just talked about it ad nauseam,” Erivo said.
Still, for fans, the London reunion offered a reminder of the powerful musical partnership that helped make Grande and Erivo’s Wicked performances so memorable.
