The model and actress made the revelation during the Aug. 6 episode of Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast, where she spoke about her love of writing. While discussing creative hobbies, Gerber casually admitted that she enjoys writing fan fiction—but keeps it entirely private.

"I write fan fiction," she said. "It's so fun to write something even if you don't put it anywhere. I write fan fiction and I don't put it anywhere. I just like it."

When host Jake Shane asked who or what her stories are about, Gerber refused to reveal any details. After a brief silence, she offered one small clue.

"It's not a human," she teased before quickly changing the subject.

Her mysterious answer immediately sparked speculation across social media. Some fans guessed she could be writing stories based on fictional creatures or animated characters, while others joked that she might be behind popular fan fiction posted anonymously online.

On X, reactions ranged from humorous to supportive. One user joked that fan fiction has become so mainstream that celebrities now openly admit to writing it, while another commented that only someone as famous as Gerber could casually reveal such a hobby without embarrassment.

After laughing at the question, Gerber surprised Campbell by saying, "You know I write fan fiction?"

When he asked what kind, Gerber immediately became more guarded.

"It's not Shards fan fiction, but I honestly should start writing Shards fanfic," she joked. "I don't know if I've ever spoken about it publicly, but I do write it. It's not under my name."

She declined to share any further details, telling Campbell, "Don't worry about it. Let's move on."
