Keith Urban Reportedly ‘Relieved’ Nicole Kidman Has Moved On Amid New Romance Rumors

Keith Urban is reportedly taking a very different view of his ex-wife Nicole Kidman’s rumored new romance.

A new report claims the country music star is “relieved” that Kidman has seemingly moved on with private equity investor Michael Reinstein. The claim comes just days after another report suggested Urban was “absolutely devastated” by photos of Kidman spending time with Reinstein.

According to the Daily Mail, an unnamed source said Urban was the person who wanted to end his nearly 20-year marriage to Kidman and had been dealing with guilt over the breakup.

“Keith was the one who wanted out of the marriage, and he felt guilty about hurting Nicole,” the source reportedly said.

The insider claimed that seeing Kidman happy with someone else has eased some of Urban’s guilt. The source also said Urban feels no jealousy toward Reinstein.

The latest report is notably different from an earlier account that painted Urban as heartbroken after seeing photos of Kidman with the businessman. That source claimed Urban had secretly hoped the couple might eventually reconcile and was crushed when Kidman appeared to be moving on.

Rumors about Kidman and Reinstein began after the actress was reportedly seen spending time with him in Portofino, Italy. Speculation grew when Reinstein was later photographed picking Kidman up from an airport in Los Angeles. The pair reportedly left together in his Ferrari.

Neither Kidman nor Reinstein has publicly confirmed that they are in a relationship.

Urban has also been the subject of romance rumors since his separation from Kidman. Speculation has linked him to country singers Karley Scott Collins and Maggie Baugh, who have both denied being romantically involved with the singer.

Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in January after 19 years of marriage.

The former couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15.
