Kim Zolciak’s 15-Year-Old Son Arrested in Georgia

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Jr., has been arrested in Georgia, according to court records obtained by Us Weekly.

KJ was arrested in Alpharetta on Monday, August 17. Court records list charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault. A judge has not set bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 8.

KJ is currently being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center. The allegations have not been proven in court.

KJ is one of four children Zolciak and Biermann share. The former couple also have a son, Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two older daughters, Ariana and Brielle, from a previous relationship.

Zolciak, 48, and Biermann, 40, married in 2011 after meeting while Zolciak was starring on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They announced their divorce in 2023, and their legal battle has continued.

Their separation has included disputes over their children and custody. Biermann previously asked the court for sole custody of the couple’s minor children and accused Zolciak of neglect. He also described her as “unfit and unstable” to parent the children.

Zolciak strongly denied those claims, calling the accusations false and saying they were an attempt to damage her reputation. She explained that she had spent several weeks away from home filming two television projects and said she had made arrangements for her children to be cared for.

The former couple also disagreed publicly over their custody schedule and counseling requirements. In April, Zolciak said a temporary custody order required both parents to attend counseling sessions. She said her filming commitments had prevented her from attending some of the sessions but that she had scheduled them for the following week.

In May, Zolciak temporarily lost custody, with a judge giving Biermann primary physical custody of their youngest children.

Neither Zolciak nor Biermann had publicly commented on KJ’s arrest at the time of publication.

As the case moves forward, the September 8 preliminary hearing is expected to provide more information about the charges and the next steps in the legal process.
