Kimberly Williams-Paisley Honors Diane Keaton by Wearing Her Iconic Hat and Gloves

Kimberly Williams-Paisley is honoring her late “Father of the Bride” co-star Diane Keaton by wearing pieces from the actress’ iconic wardrobe.

Williams-Paisley recently bought a hat and gloves from a Diane Keaton auction and shared photos of herself wearing them on Instagram. She paired the accessories with a black-and-white pantsuit inspired by Keaton’s famous “Annie Hall” style.

“I’m so happy to have some of her iconic style with me,” Williams-Paisley wrote.

Keaton, who died last October at age 79 from pneumonia, was known for her distinctive fashion, including tailored suits, vests, oversized glasses and hats. The hat Williams-Paisley purchased carries Keaton’s handwritten message, “NO MORE WAR,” along with a skull-and-crossbones drawing.

Williams-Paisley said an unusual moment occurred while she and friends were preparing the photoshoot. A bald eagle landed in a nearby tree and stayed briefly before flying away. She described the encounter as a rare experience that made her feel Keaton’s presence was nearby.

Williams-Paisley and Keaton played mother and daughter in the “Father of the Bride” films and reunited for the 2020 short “Father of the Bride (3)ish.” Following Keaton’s death, Williams-Paisley remembered her as kind, generous and funny.

She also recalled that after filming the 2020 short, Keaton asked for the phone numbers of everyone involved and personally called each person to praise their work.

“Working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life,” Williams-Paisley wrote in her earlier tribute. “You are one of a kind.”
