Nearly 20 years after the first movie launched the $3 billion franchise, Stewart said she still loves the series and is not bothered by its lasting popularity.
“I love it, I would do it again,” she said on the podcast In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele.
Stewart, who turned 18 during production of the 2008 film, said she and co-star Robert Pattinson took their roles seriously and wanted to give the story a more realistic feel. Looking back, she now sees the film’s dramatic style as part of what made it memorable.
Stewart has also said she would like to remake the first Twilight movie herself as a director. She praised the work of original director Catherine Hardwicke and the other filmmakers in the series, saying each brought a distinct style to the films.
