Brad Pitt Says Bad Acting Is Why He Can’t Watch Porn

Brad Pitt recently joked about pornography while discussing what he considers bad acting.

In an interview with Esquire, Pitt criticized soccer players who exaggerate fouls by dramatically falling to the ground. He compared the behavior to the overly dramatic acting seen in old movies.

“Bad acting drives me crazy. It’s why I can’t watch porn,” Pitt said.

The comment came during a broader discussion of his acting career. Pitt won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He had previously received Oscar nominations for Twelve Monkeys, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Moneyball, and won an Oscar as a producer of 12 Years a Slave.

Although Pitt said in 2022 that he viewed himself as being in the final stage of his Hollywood career, he has continued to work on major films, including Babylon, Bullet Train, Wolfs and F1: The Movie.

His upcoming projects include The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Heart of the Beast. Heart of the Beast, in which Pitt plays a Special Forces officer stranded in Alaska with his combat dog, is scheduled to open in theaters on Sept. 25.
