The Game of Thrones star told British Vogue that she paid an Etsy witch to help her “manifest” a role in an undisclosed film. The witch gave Williams instructions to repeat certain words every night, which the actress followed. “I said them every night,” Williams said. “It didn’t happen.”
Williams also revealed that she follows one superstition in her daily life. She avoids walking over three consecutive drain covers, a British belief associated with bad luck. She admitted that she has broken the rule but said doing so always makes her uncomfortable.
“I stick with that one,” Williams said, explaining that the superstition makes her feel she has some control over things she cannot control.
The actress is now appearing in Practical Magic 2, alongside Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock and Joey King. Williams said she quickly developed a close bond with her co-stars, describing Kidman and Bullock as kind and supportive.
She also said the sequel combines nostalgia for the original 1998 film with a modern setting and explores how its characters have changed over time.
Practical Magic 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on September 10.
