Nathan Fillion to Reprise Guy Gardner in DC’s Animated ‘Mister Miracle’ Series

Nathan Fillion will reprise his role as Guy Gardner in DC Studios’ upcoming animated series Mister Miracle, showrunner Tom King has confirmed.

Fillion first played the outspoken Green Lantern in the live-action film Superman. He later appeared as Gardner in Peacemaker season 2 and will star in the upcoming HBO series Lanterns. His role in Mister Miracle makes him the first confirmed voice cast member for the animated series.

The show is based on King and Mitch Gerads’ acclaimed comic series. It follows Scott Free, better known as Mister Miracle, as he faces a war between Apocalypse and New Genesis while struggling with the effects of the Anti-Life Equation.

King said Fillion brings the same larger-than-life energy to the animated version of Guy Gardner that he brings to the live-action role. He also confirmed that the series has already cast Darkseid and Orion, although those actors have not been announced.

Mister Miracle was officially approved by DC and Warner Bros. Animation in 2025. King is serving as showrunner and writing every episode, with Gerads working as a producer and designer.

No release date has been announced for Mister Miracle. Fillion will next appear as Guy Gardner in Lanterns.
