Olivia Munn Shares Update on Breast Cancer Journey

Actress Olivia Munn is opening up about her breast cancer experience in a new social media series aimed at supporting other women facing the disease.

Munn, 46, said Wednesday that she plans to answer questions and share details about her treatment and life after cancer. She described the community of women she has met through her experience as “the worst club with the best members.”

Munn was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in 2023. She later revealed that the cancer was aggressive and that she underwent five surgeries, including a double mastectomy.

In a video posted Wednesday, Munn said she is doing “really good” today, while acknowledging that recovery remains difficult. “Every day is different,” she said, describing her life as a balancing act between her health, work and raising her two children with partner John Mulaney.

Munn also spoke about the challenges of medically induced menopause following her treatment. She said the medications can be difficult and described her current recovery as a “long hurdle” after the major challenges of treatment.

She said sharing her story is healing and hopes her new series will give people affected by cancer more information, support and hope.
