In a joint statement confirmed by PEOPLE on July 31, the former couple said they are committed to raising their daughter together. "We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us," they said.
Davidson and Hewitt welcomed Scottie in December 2025. She was named after Davidson's late father, Scott Matthew Davidson.
The agreement follows reports that the couple had faced relationship challenges after their daughter's birth. Earlier this year, sources said Hewitt was adjusting to the demands of single motherhood, while another source said Davidson had remained financially supportive and involved in Scottie's life.
Before the breakup, Davidson described fatherhood as "awesome" and praised Hewitt as a "fantastic mom." Since the split, he has continued spending time with his daughter, including celebrating Father's Day with Scottie and his mother at New York City's American Museum of Natural History.
Most recently, Hewitt shared photos on Instagram celebrating Scottie's first swimming lesson, calling the milestone a moment that made her "heart" explode with joy.
