Reggie Watts’ ‘Comedy Bang Bang’ Theme Song Removed After Drug Allegations

Reggie Watts’ theme song was removed from Monday’s episode of the “Comedy Bang Bang” podcast after a Rolling Stone report raised allegations about his past relationships and drug use.

The report, published Thursday, focused in part on Watts’ late ex-girlfriend, Katherine McCollough. Her family and friends said her drug use increased significantly while she was dating Watts, who has publicly advocated for ketamine and psychedelics. Their relationship ended in October 2025 after McCollough experienced a drug-induced manic episode. In March 2026, she traveled to Peru and died by suicide.

Watts’ attorney, Andrew Brettler, strongly denied the allegations, calling them “dangerously false.” He said McCollough was already an experienced drug user and rejected claims that Watts encouraged her drug use or was abusive.

Rolling Stone also interviewed five other women who previously dated Watts. They described what they characterized as reckless behavior involving drugs, while two alleged that their relationships with Watts were emotionally and psychologically abusive.

Watts wrote the theme song for “Comedy Bang Bang,” which began as a radio show in 2009. The song was still used in the Aug. 17 episode but was absent from Monday’s episode, which featured “Portlandia” stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein.
