Riley Green Buys Gibson J-45 Guitar From Seller He Met on Facebook Marketplace

Riley Green is proving that even country music stars still use Facebook Marketplace.

The 37-year-old singer recently bought a Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar through the platform and personally met the seller to pick it up.

Shane Allen, who owns Front Beach Softwash in Panama City Beach, Florida, had listed the guitar for sale even though he was hesitant to part with it. He was surprised to learn that Green was the buyer and would meet him in person.

Allen said Green’s decision to handle the purchase himself made it easier to sell the guitar. He also said he hopes Green will put the instrument to good use.

The purchase comes as Green spends much of 2026 on his Cowboy as It Gets Tour, his biggest headlining tour so far. He is also preparing to release his fourth studio album, That’s Just Me, on Sept. 18.

Green will also join The Voice as a coach for Season 30, which premieres Sept. 21 on NBC.
