Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez Make Romance Instagram Official

Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez appear to have rekindled their romance, making their relationship Instagram official.

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Grande shared a photo dump that included two pictures with Alvarez, whom she dated from 2015 to 2016. In one mirror photo, the pair wore coordinating outfits as Alvarez put his arm around Grande and held her hand. Another blurry photo showed Alvarez holding the camera while Grande stood beside him.

The post comes weeks after the two were seen together in Austin, Texas, on June 26. Alvarez later attended Grande’s concert there. He was also spotted dancing at her Brooklyn show in July, where Grande changed the lyrics of “Thank U, Next” to sing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back.”

Sources previously told PEOPLE that Grande trusts Alvarez and enjoys his positive energy. Another source said the pair were taking their reunion slowly and were not rushing into a serious relationship.

Grande and Alvarez have remained friendly since their 2016 breakup. Earlier this month, PEOPLE reported that Grande plans to step back from public visibility after her Eternal Sunshine Tour ends in September.
