Sandra Bullock Jokes She’s Always Ready for Nicole Kidman’s Pranks

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are bringing their real-life friendship and playful chemistry back to the set of “Practical Magic 2.”

Speaking on BBC’s “The One Show,” Kidman said she enjoyed returning as Gillian “Gilly” Owens, a more carefree character than many of her recent roles. Bullock said Kidman is similarly free-spirited in real life and praised her willingness to have fun.

The pair also joked about a scene in which Kidman pulls down Bullock’s pants. Bullock said she does not mind the prank and joked that she expects it whenever Kidman enters a room.

Kidman and Bullock have been friends for decades. Kidman said their long-standing relationships with costars Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest made returning to the film feel safe and supportive.

“Practical Magic 2” reunites Kidman and Bullock with Channing and Wiest as the magical Owens family. Maisie Williams and Joey King also join the cast as Bullock’s on-screen daughters.

The sequel follows the Owens sisters as they try to break their family curse by confronting dark secrets and making sacrifices for each other.

“Practical Magic 2” will be released in theaters on September 11.
