Selena Gomez and Mom Mandy Teefey Sued Over $1.2M Wondermind Investment Claims

Selena Gomez and her mother, Mandy Teefey, are facing a lawsuit from two companies that invested $1.2 million in their mental health company, Wondermind.

The companies, Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC, filed the lawsuit Thursday in federal court in Delaware. They accuse Wondermind Global, Gomez, Teefey and former co-founder Daniella Pierson of misleading investors about the company’s finances, operations and plans.

According to the lawsuit, the investors were told in 2022 that Wondermind had the staff, leadership and resources needed to become a successful mental health and wellness platform. They claim those promises were not fulfilled: the company’s planned app was never launched, proposed partnerships did not materialize and the business struggled for years without investors being properly informed.

The lawsuit also alleges that Gomez did not fulfill an agreement to actively promote and help build the company through her social media presence, advertising relationships and television appearances.

The investors say they learned about Wondermind’s financial and operational problems after a September 2025 report by The Cut. The company had previously faced reports of layoffs and unpaid workers and vendors.

Teefey has denied allegations that she had a substance abuse problem or that she was responsible for the company’s decline, calling the claims lies spread by disgruntled former employees.

The lawsuit also describes tensions between Gomez and her mother and alleges that their personal disputes made their involvement in Wondermind difficult.

The investors are seeking the return of their investments, damages, legal costs and attorney’s fees. They have also requested a jury trial.

Gomez, Teefey and Pierson launched Wondermind in 2022 as a platform focused on mental health and emotional wellness.
