Tupac Murder Trial Takes Dramatic Turn With Allegations Involving Diddy

Sean “Diddy” Combs was named during testimony in the trial over Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder, after a former Los Angeles police detective alleged that Combs had tried to arrange payment for the rapper’s killing.

Former LAPD detective Daryn Dupree testified that he interviewed Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is charged in connection with Shakur’s death. According to Dupree, Davis said Combs owed money that was supposed to be passed through an associate known as Zip Martin as payment for killing Tupac. Dupree said Davis told him the money never reached him.

Dupree also testified that Davis claimed Combs solicited Shakur’s murder during a conversation at Greenblatt’s Deli in Los Angeles.

Combs’ representatives strongly deny the allegations, saying he had “absolutely nothing to do with the Tupac murder” and did not arrange or carry out the killing.

The testimony came as the trial entered its fifth day. The allegations remain part of witness testimony and have not been established as fact in court.
