Zendaya Praises Tom Holland for Carrying Spider-Man's Legacy On and Off Screen

Tom Holland and Zendaya reflected on their journey as Spider-Man stars, with Zendaya praising Holland for the way he represents the superhero both on and off screen.

Speaking to Rotten Tomatoes, Zendaya said Holland understands how much Spider-Man means to fans, especially children, and has carried the responsibility with "grace." She said he genuinely cares about the character and treats the role seriously whenever he meets young fans.

Holland said returning as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day made him more nervous than ever because he now understands the scale and expectations that come with the role. He added that the experience has also been deeply rewarding.

Zendaya said both actors have grown since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe at age 19, and she has enjoyed watching Holland take greater ownership of the films and the character over the years.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now playing in theaters after a strong global opening weekend.
