Alanis Morissette Sues Former Tour Manager Over Alleged Blackmail

Alanis Morissette has sued her former tour manager, Keren Urinov, accusing her of attempting to blackmail the singer over an alleged drug incident in the U.K.

Morissette filed the lawsuit Tuesday, claiming Urinov threatened to report her to British authorities for drug trafficking unless the singer agreed to employ Urinov as a tour director for 15 years and pay her substantial compensation.

According to court documents reviewed by Entertainment Weekly, the dispute began in July 2025 while Morissette was traveling to Spain for a concert. Morissette alleges that a bag belonging to Urinov was seized at Farnborough Airport in the U.K. and was found to contain marijuana and xylazine, an animal tranquilizer.

The complaint says Urinov initially told authorities that the alleged drugs belonged to her. Morissette claims that after the tour ended, Urinov and her attorney sent letters threatening legal action unless Morissette told British authorities that the drugs were hers.

Morissette says she rejected the demands, describing Urinov as an ineffective manager and citing a hotel booking mistake that allegedly cost her nearly $70,000.

The singer is suing Urinov for civil extortion, fraud and negligent misrepresentation. She is seeking more than $75,000 in damages and a jury trial.

Urinov, a former Live Nation Israel executive, filed her own lawsuit against Morissette in London 13 days before Morissette’s case. The details of Urinov’s claims have not been made public.
