The nine-episode series, hosted by former Bachelorette star and The Traitors winner Gabby Windey, premiered on Hulu in March. It followed 22 singles as they searched for love aboard a yacht.
Sources said the show was canceled because it “wasn’t finding its audience.”
The decision comes shortly after Bloomberg reported that Unwell’s beverage line was being discontinued. Despite the setbacks, Cooper’s media company continues to attract major investment. Patrick Whitesell’s investment firm, WTSL, recently invested in Unwell, reportedly valuing the company at $500 million.
Cooper, who rose to fame as the host of the hit podcast Call Her Daddy, also recently left talent agency UTA for rival CAA.
Disney is not ending its relationship with Cooper. Sources said the company remains in development with her on several projects.
One of those projects is You Deserve To Know, an upcoming Hulu drama starring The Vampire Diaries actors Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley and produced by Unwell.
While Love Overboard failed to gain a significant audience, Cooper may now look to scripted television for her next major success.
