Scott Hunter and Kip Grady Confirmed for Heated Rivalry Season 2

Scott Hunter and Kip Grady will officially return for Season 2 of Heated Rivalry, Crave confirmed on Sept. 1.

François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. will reprise their roles as New York Admirals captain Scott and smoothie shop barista Kip, whose romance became a major storyline in the first season. They will join leads Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, who play hockey stars Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.

Arnaud had previously hinted at his return, telling WWD last month that “there’s definitely more of Scott and Kip” ahead.

Other returning cast members include Sophie Nélisse as Rose, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova as Svetlana, Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh as Shane’s parents, and Callan Potter and Benjamin Roy as Shane’s Montreal teammates Hayden and JJ. Kamilla Kowal will also return as Hayden’s wife, Jacki.

Season 2 will introduce several new characters, including Justice Smith as Harris Drover, Charlie Gillespie as hockey player Troy Barrett, Daniel Diemer as Ryan Price, and Edvin Ryding as Luca Haas.

Filming began in August in and around Toronto. Creator Jacob Tierney has asked fans to respect the privacy and working space of the cast and crew during production.

The second season is expected to draw heavily from Rachel Reid’s novel The Long Game, set about three years after the events of Heated Rivalry. The story follows Shane and Ilya as they continue their secret relationship while playing for Canadian teams. The series is also expected to incorporate elements from Role Model, which follows Troy and Harris.

Heated Rivalry Season 2 is expected to premiere in spring 2027. Season 1 is streaming on Crave in Canada and HBO Max in the U.S.
