Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky Soak Up the Last Days of Summer in Italy

Katie Holmes and her boyfriend, artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, are enjoying a romantic summer escape in Italy.

On Sunday, Sept. 6, Yarmosky shared a series of photos from their trip on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into their time together on Lake Como.

The couple appeared happy and relaxed as they explored the famous Italian lake by speedboat. In one photo, they were seen from behind as they traveled across the water, while another showed Holmes, 47, quietly taking in the beautiful scenery.

The carousel also featured Yarmosky posing on the boat, Holmes making a heart shape with her hands in the water and several playful moments between the couple. In one sunset photo, Holmes and Yarmosky smiled at the camera while dressed in black.

Holmes was also photographed sunbathing in a white bikini and enjoying the water. Another playful image showed her doing a crab walk on top of the boat as the sun set behind her. In a sweet photo, she and Yarmosky appeared to relax together on a bed, laughing.

The final image showed a man enjoying a bowl of food with a glass of white wine nearby.

“Life is a friend of art,” Yarmosky wrote in the caption.

The romantic getaway comes only days after Holmes made their relationship official on Instagram.

On Sept. 1, the actress wished Yarmosky a happy birthday, sharing two photos of the couple. In the first, they smiled while standing close together, with Holmes holding him around the waist. The second showed a birthday cake surrounded by lit candles.

“Happy Birthday to the best of the best…❤️,” Holmes wrote while tagging the New York City-based artist.

Holmes also shared a video on her Instagram Stories showing Yarmosky celebrating his birthday at dinner. In the clip, he blew out the candles on his cake as people around the table cheered. British visual artist and songwriter Shantell Martin later reposted the video.

Holmes and Yarmosky were first publicly linked earlier this summer. On July 10, they were spotted holding hands at a screening of Olivia Wilde’s film The Invite in East Hampton, New York.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the pair “looked very cute” together and seemed comfortable around each other.

“He was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing,” the source said. “They seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night.”

The source added that the two sat together during the movie, with Holmes resting her head on Yarmosky’s shoulder at one point.

According to an insider close to Holmes, the couple first connected over dinner before starting to see each other.

“They went on a date shortly after and she finds him interesting,” the insider said. “Katie has always been drawn to people who are creative.”

The source added that Holmes enjoys being around people who are passionate about their work and likes “learning and experiencing new things.”

Now, with their relationship out in the open, Holmes and Yarmosky appear to be making the most of their time together — from birthday celebrations in New York to sunny days on Lake Como.
