Katy Perry Opens Up About Orlando Bloom Split, Calls Justin Trudeau ‘Love of My Life’

Katy Perry has opened up about her split from Orlando Bloom and said her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau became a bright spot during a difficult year.

In an interview with PEOPLE published Wednesday, Perry reflected on her 91-show Lifetimes Tour, which began in April 2025. She said the tour was especially challenging after news broke in June that she and Bloom had ended their relationship following nearly a decade together. The couple share a 6-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

“It was probably the hardest time,” Perry said, recalling feeling isolated while her friends remained at home. She credited her close friends with supporting her through the difficult period.

Perry said her life changed after she met Trudeau, whom she was first seen with in July 2025. The pair made their relationship public in October during an outing in Paris on Perry’s 41st birthday.

“I got to meet the love of my life,” Perry said of the tour and her relationship with Trudeau.

She also said she believes their romance was something she had manifested. Perry recalled writing down 10 wishes for her life, with the 10th reading, “True Love.”

Perry has previously described 2025 as “one of the hardest years of my life.” Despite the challenges, she said she continued the tour because of commitments to her fans, her daughter and herself.
