Sandra Bullock Shares Rare Insight Into Her Children Ahead of Practical Magic 2

Sandra Bullock is giving fans a rare glimpse into her family life, revealing that her two children, Louis, 16, and Laila, 12, appear in her upcoming film Practical Magic 2.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at the film’s premiere, Bullock said her children are featured in the movie in a subtle way. “They’re in the movie but not in an obvious way to you,” she said, adding that they do not yet know where their appearances are.

Bullock said her children attended the premiere with friends and expressed how proud she is of them. She described Louis as her “moral barometer” and said Laila has a strong ability to notice things and think ahead.

“They’re so completely different but yet they just give me two halves of a whole,” Bullock said.

The actress has generally kept her children out of the spotlight, but she has spoken about how important motherhood is to her. Fans recently noticed a tattoo on the back of her left shoulder featuring the initials “LB” with a small “2” above them. A representative confirmed that the tattoo is a tribute to her two children.

Practical Magic 2 reunites Bullock with Nicole Kidman, who also starred alongside her in the original 1998 film. Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing are also returning for the sequel.

Bullock said she was grateful to revisit a film that has gained greater appreciation over the years and described the sequel as something she hopes can be passed down through generations.

Practical Magic 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Sept. 10.
