In an interview with HELLO! Magazine published Monday, Aug. 31, Kelly, 41, said, “I’ll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too.”
Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at age 76. Kelly said that “everything is different” since his death and that she is taking life “one day at a time” while trying to rebuild.
She also revealed that her father was brought home after his death rather than taken to a morgue. The family was able to spend several days with him, mourn together and make their own arrangements.
Kelly credited fans with helping her family through the difficult period. “It saved us,” she said, recalling the letters, flowers and gifts they received after Ozzy’s death. She added that the support showed how deeply fans loved him, just as he loved them.
In July, Kelly marked the anniversary of her father’s death with an emotional Instagram tribute. She described him as her protector, greatest teacher and best friend, saying that life without him had been “the hardest thing” she had ever endured.
Kelly said she continues to feel her father’s presence through memories, music and the lessons he taught her. “Your voice still guides me every day,” she wrote.
