Nikki Glaser Nearly Took a Piece of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding

Comedian Nikki Glaser came close to taking home a very unusual souvenir from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

Glaser, a self-described Swiftie, recently shared details about the star-studded celebration during her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. The wedding was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and guests were reportedly required to give up their phones for the event.

“I was actually inside, and I have nothing to show for it,” Glaser said, according to audio obtained by Entertainment Weekly. “Because I had to turn in my phone. I had to turn off my phone, which I had never done before. I didn’t even know you could do that.”

Without any photos or videos to remember the night, Glaser decided she wanted to find another keepsake.

“I got really close to stealing something from it,” the comedian said. “Because I was like, I want one cool artifact from this.”

Her opportunity came when she wandered toward the back of the venue and spotted the wedding cake.

According to Glaser, the cake had two small toppers representing Swift and Kelce. But there was one problem: Taylor’s topper was already gone.

“I look up at the cake,” Glaser recalled. “And on the top tier, where the two little cake toppers are, it’s just Travis. Taylor’s missing. And I’m like, ‘Someone already took Taylor, I’m taking Travis.’”

Glaser joked that she was only seconds away from putting the Kelce topper in her purse.

But before she could make a move, she heard someone nearby say, “Put me down!” She realized it was actor Tom Cruise and immediately abandoned her plan.

“I’m like, ‘Oh my god!’” she recalled.

Although Glaser left the wedding empty-handed, she still had plenty of memories from the extraordinary night.

She said it was particularly unusual to see major stars such as Cruise, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts without their usual entourages. Glaser also joked that some celebrities appeared to attend without plus-ones and had to navigate the party on their own.

“Some of these celebrities were alone, and these people are never alone,” she said. “Like, J. Lo was alone. J. Lo was kind of like a wallflower.”

Swift and Kelce married on July 3, with Adam Sandler reportedly serving as the officiant. Kelce recently looked back on the celebration during the season premiere of his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.

Calling it “a night out we’ll never forget,” Kelce said he and Swift were grateful to everyone who attended.

“Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up,” he said, adding that the evening was “so magical.”

For Glaser, however, the biggest souvenir from the wedding may simply be the story of how she almost walked away with Travis Kelce’s tiny cake topper.
