Alicia Silverstone to Return as Cher in New Clueless TV Series

Paramount+ has ordered a new Clueless TV series, with Alicia Silverstone returning as Cher Horowitz more than 30 years after the 1995 hit film.

The series will follow an adult Cher, who has built a successful career and become a mother. According to the official synopsis, she faces new challenges when her teenage daughter starts high school, making Cher feel "clueless" again.

Original Clueless writer and director Amy Heckerling will serve as a producer alongside Silverstone. Filming is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in 2027.

Paramount+ has not announced whether other cast members from the original film, including Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Paul Rudd, or Breckin Meyer, will return.

A previous attempt to revive Clueless at Peacock did not move forward before the project returned to Paramount+, the studio behind the original movie.

The 1995 film became a pop culture classic and later inspired a television sitcom that aired from 1996 to 1999. Another reboot centered on Cher's friend Dionne was announced in 2019 but was never produced.
