Soap Star Colleen Zenk Charged With DUI in Florida

Colleen Zenk, a longtime soap opera actress known for playing Barbara Ryan on As the World Turns, has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in Naples, Florida.

According to an arrest report, Zenk was arrested on May 15 after allegedly backing into another vehicle in a shopping center parking lot. A witness told deputies she appeared to try to leave the scene before being stopped. Officers reported that she showed signs of impairment and said she had been at a nearby restaurant and bar before the crash.

Authorities said Zenk did not successfully complete field sobriety tests. Breath tests later recorded blood alcohol levels of 0.206 and 0.192, both well above Florida's legal limit of 0.08. She was charged with DUI causing property damage and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher. She posted bond the following day.

Zenk has pleaded not guilty through her attorney. After filing a waiver to skip a non-mandatory court appearance, her next court date was scheduled for July 29.

The May arrest is the third DUI case Zenk has faced since 2010. She starred on As the World Turns for 32 years and most recently appeared in a recurring role on The Young and the Restless from 2023 to 2025.
