Jen Landon Recalls Ian Bohen's Scary On-Set Injury During 'Yellowstone' Filming

Yellowstone may have been known for its dramatic storylines, but the real-life action on set could be just as intense.

Speaking at a recent Yellowstone reunion during Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, actress Jen Landon recalled a frightening moment when co-star Ian Bohen was kicked in the face by a cow while filming a branding scene.

"That cow kind of got itself moving, and he got kicked in the face," Landon said, noting that Bohen's athleticism likely prevented a far more serious injury. She remembered him bleeding after the incident, though Bohen clarified that he "went down instantly" rather than laughing it off.

Landon admitted the initially lighthearted reaction quickly gave way to concern. "Laughing at injury is not okay," she said.

The pair starred in the original Yellowstone, with Bohen joining in 2018 and Landon in 2020. Landon has previously revealed she landed the role despite having little horseback riding experience, joking that her team overstated her skills. She later dedicated herself to training and says she can now rope a cow from a standstill.
