Kanye West settles former assistant's sexual harassment lawsuit

Kanye West and his former personal assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, have reached a settlement in her sexual harassment lawsuit, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles.

The documents state that the settlement, reached on 23 July, is unconditional. A request to dismiss the case is expected to be filed within 45 days. The terms of the settlement have not been made public.

Pisciotta sued West in June 2024, alleging sexual harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract and a hostile work environment. She claimed West sent her explicit messages and images, made unwanted sexual advances and failed to pay promised salary increases and severance.

In an amended complaint filed later that year, she also accused West of drugging and sexually assaulting her during a studio session. West denied the allegations through his lawyers, calling the claims baseless and accusing Pisciotta of blackmail and extortion.

The settlement ends the legal dispute without any publicly disclosed admission of wrongdoing by either side.
