Kim Kardashian Explains Timing of Vacation Post After Grandmother MJ’s Death

Kim Kardashian explained why she shared vacation photos on Instagram at the same time her family announced the death of her grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon.

Kim said the post had been scheduled several days earlier, before MJ passed away at the age of 91. She added that she had been with her mother, Kris Jenner, and her grandmother during the past week and that her focus is now on supporting her family and honoring MJ's life.

Kris Jenner announced her mother's death in an emotional Instagram tribute, calling MJ the heart of the family and thanking her for her love, wisdom, and sacrifices.

Kim later shared a separate tribute to her grandmother, describing her as her "gossip buddy" and "forever twin." She thanked MJ for always believing in her and said she would miss her deeply.
