Madonna Teams Up With Lourdes Leon on New Confessions II Track

Madonna has teamed up with her daughter, Lourdes Leon, on a new song called "The Test" from her latest album, Confessions II.

The duet explores their mother-daughter relationship and the challenges of living in the public eye. In the song, Leon addresses criticism that she has benefited from her mother's fame, while both singers reflect on family, identity, and growing older.

The collaboration continues a long creative partnership between Madonna and Leon. Leon also appeared in Confessions II — The Film, a short film released alongside the album. She has previously worked with Madonna on projects including the Madame X tour, the 2012 song "Superstar," and a 2023 recreation of the "Frozen" music video.

Madonna has often drawn inspiration from her daughter in her music. Her 1998 album Ray of Light featured songs such as "Little Star" and "Nothing Really Matters," which were inspired by Leon's birth.
