The actress said she has been losing about one to two pounds a month since starting Mounjaro and now feels healthier and stronger. She also spoke about years of anxiety over her appearance, saying concerns about her weight often overshadowed her career achievements.
O’Donnell said she wishes the medication were more affordable so more people struggling with obesity could access it.
The interview comes as other celebrities have shared mixed experiences with GLP-1 drugs. Actress Mayim Bialik recently described digestive side effects while using the medication, while Jenny Mollen said she experienced severe bleeding during treatment but was uncertain whether the drug was the cause.
