Zendaya Confirms She’s Married to Tom Holland With Red Carpet Joke

Zendaya appeared to confirm her marriage to Tom Holland with a playful response to a fan at the "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" event in Mexico on Monday.

As the actress walked the red carpet, a fan shouted, "Will you marry me, please?" Smiling, Zendaya replied, "You're too late!"

Her comment follows recent remarks from Holland, who has repeatedly referred to Zendaya as his wife while promoting his upcoming films. In a Wired interview for The Odyssey, Holland joked that Zendaya's character could not be romantically interested in Matt Damon's Odysseus because "she's married to me."

Last month, Holland also told Esquire that AI-generated wedding photos circulating online were fake, adding that his family knew because "they were all there," confirming the couple had already married. He described Zendaya as his "person" and "best friend" and said he feels happiest and most supported when he is with her.

On the UK podcast Dish, Holland again referred to Zendaya as his wife while joking about which The Odyssey co-star he would take on a vacation.

The couple, who first sparked dating rumors in 2017 after starring together in the Spider-Man films, reportedly became engaged during the 2024 holiday season. While they have not publicly revealed details of their wedding, stylist Law Roach said on the 2026 SAG Awards red carpet that "the wedding has already happened."
