Candace Cameron Bure Gets Emotional Over Hurtful Comments About Her Voice

Candace Cameron Bure became emotional while discussing repeated criticism of her voice on her podcast.

On a recent episode of her podcast, the “Full House” actress said people frequently call her voice annoying. She read examples of harsh comments, including one person saying they turned off the television because they could not stand listening to her.

Cameron Bure said the criticism has made her self-conscious, but she has also received encouraging feedback while reading Bible passages on Instagram. She said followers often ask her to continue reading and tell her they enjoy hearing her voice.

“It feels so redemptive that God’s using the very thing that glorifies him and the thing that’s brought me pain,” she said through tears.

Cameron Bure said her podcast is intended to help bring people “one step closer to Jesus.” She also said she generally avoids responding to online critics, preferring to let God and her supporters handle negative comments.

The actress has hosted her podcast since November 2022.
