Este Haim Shares Relationship Advice Seven Months After Wedding

Musician and actress Este Haim says couples should continue dating each other even after getting married.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the New York premiere of the romantic comedy One Night Only on Aug. 3, Haim, 40, said relationships require ongoing effort.

“Keep pursuing, even if you’re in a relationship,” Haim said. “You should always be dating. You should always be working toward having a better relationship. Relationships are work, and I think people forget about that.”

Haim married tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin on Dec. 31, 2025, in Ojai, California. The couple announced their engagement in February 2025. Haim previously said they met a few years earlier on a blind date arranged through mutual friends.

Haim also reflected on her own wedding, saying she wished she had taken more time to enjoy the moment.

“I was so overwhelmed,” she told PEOPLE in June. “I enjoyed my wedding so much. But I wish that I had also just stopped for a second and took it in.”

For single people, Haim offered a simpler message: have fun. “We’re on a spinning rock in a vast universe, like, go have a good time,” she said.

Haim appears in One Night Only, directed by Will Gluck and starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner. She also composed the film’s music. The movie is now playing in theaters.
