Eva Mendes Sparks Marriage Buzz With ‘de Gosling’ Wrist Tattoo

Eva Mendes has sparked fresh speculation about her relationship with Ryan Gosling after showing off a small tattoo on her wrist that reads “de Gosling.”

Mendes shared photos of herself on Instagram on Friday, including one that clearly showed the tattoo. Responding to a fan who admired it, she said it was “the only one I have, the only one I’ve ever wanted.”

In Hispanic cultures, married women sometimes use “de” with their husband’s surname, which could mean Mendes would be known as Eva Mendes de Gosling. The tattoo has fueled speculation that the couple may be married, although they have never publicly confirmed it.

Mendes first showed the tattoo in 2022, around the same time she referred to Gosling as “my husband” during an interview with Today Australia. She has also occasionally been photographed wearing a ring on her left hand.

Mendes and Gosling began dating in 2011 after meeting while filming The Place Beyond the Pines. They have two daughters, Esmeralda, 11, and Amanda, 10. Mendes later stepped back from acting to focus on raising their children.

In a 2019 interview with Women’s Health, Mendes said she had not wanted children until she met Gosling, explaining that having children with him “made sense” to her.
