Frankie Grande Praises Ariana Grande as She Prepares for Public Break

Frankie Grande praised his sister Ariana Grande after the singer completed the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine tour in Chicago.

“Family forever,” Frankie wrote on Instagram. “I will have your back until the end of time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you.” He also celebrated Ariana’s artistry and thanked her for letting him watch her perform on the tour.

Frankie’s message comes after Ariana announced plans to step back from public appearances after the tour ends in London on Sept. 1. Her representative said she plans to take a break from public-facing work following the demanding tour.

Ariana addressed the decision during a Chicago concert, saying that setting boundaries and taking breaks are sometimes necessary. She also said the tour remains one of the greatest professional and creative experiences of her life.

The break means Ariana will no longer appear in the upcoming West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George, which is scheduled to star her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.

Ariana has also faced significant public scrutiny over her appearance and personal life. She has previously criticized unsolicited comments about her body and discussed the difficulty of dealing with such criticism from a young age.

Despite the scrutiny, sources close to the singer have emphasized that she is healthy and performing the physically demanding tour successfully. Ariana is expected to return to the big screen in Focker In-Law, starring alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, which is scheduled for release Nov. 25.
